Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg are reportedly set to accept a £41.9m bid from Arsenal for their highly talented German international attacking midfielder Julian Draxler.
Germany v Italy - Quarter Final: UEFA Euro 2016
According to Tutto Mercato Web, the club are finally set to let the 22-year-old leave Germany to join the North London side, who have been chasing Draxler for a consecutive number of seasons, with Arsene Wenger a huge admirer of him at both Wolfsburg and former club Schalke 04.

Arsenal fans can also be encouraged by the thought of the player himself, who since returning from the Euros in France this summer with Germany has stated that he wishes to leave the club in search of Champions League football, which the Gunners can offer this campaign, however rumours suggest they face competition from French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Draxler impressed hugely at the European competition with his native homeland, and none more so than the Germany coach Joachim Low, managing to push through into a starting position in a side full of heavily talented and experienced players.

Despite there being no official confirmation of this bid from any representatives in London or at the club, the Italian news outlet insists that the club have finally made their move for Gladbeck born star, and sources suggest that Wolfsburg will not turn down an offer of such magnitude.

Arsenal are also reportedly close to signing Draxler's fellow German compatriot Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia, with a deal set to completed in the coming days following the La Liga side's confession that they need to sell the defender this summer in order to balance the books.
