Transfer Centre LIVE!

The latest news and gossip as Scott Sinclair completes his move to Celtic on a four-year contract.

SINCLAIR 'DELIGHT' AT MOVE
Scott Sinclair revealed his delight at penning a four-year contract with Celtic.
The 27-year-old, who passed a medical in Glasgow on Saturday, has been a target for Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers throughout the summer transfer window.
Sinclair could be included in the Celtic squad to face Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday afternoon as the team begins their defence of the Scottish Premiership title, and the 27-year-old is looking forward to a new chapter in his career.
"It feels amazing to have joined Celtic. It's a massive club and I'm looking forward to it. I'm here now and I'm happy to be here," Sinclair said on the club's official website.

GALA EYE UNITED DUO
Turkish club Galatasaray are keen on Manchester United midfielders Bastian Schweinsteiger and Antonio Valencia and are happy to pay £4.25m for the duo, according to the Star on Sunday.
Schweinsteiger is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho and has been made to train with the reserves.
Valencia has also been linked with a move away from United since Mourinho was appointed in May.
'REDS NEED LEFT-BACK'
Liverpool need to recruit a left back before the start of the new Premier League season, believes Jamie Carragher.
The Reds ran out easy 4-0 winners over La Liga champions Barcelona at Wembley on Saturday in the International Champions Cup.
Jurgen Klopp started midfielder James Milner as left back before the recently retired England international made way for Alberto Moreno in the 42nd minute with a suspected injury.
Watching the game for Sky Sports, Carragher said there were not enough options in the position after Klopp's pursuit of Leicester's Ben Chilwell ended in disappointment.
Asked if Klopp needed to dip into the transfer market, the former Reds defender replied: "I think defensively, yeah. I think the left back area is certainly something that hopefully someone will be coming in after the young lad at Leicester has not come off.
"But James Milner is playing there and I thought James Milner for 35-45 minutes - I mean the challenge he made in the first half to stop a certain goal - he played very well there.

“But I think you want to be going into the season with one recognised left back. I’ve been critical of Alberto Moreno but hopefully he’ll improve as he’s obviously older a little bit more mature, working with Jurgen Klopp he will improve but it certainly the one area Liverpool need to improve.”
ISCO INFERNO
AC Milan want to make Real Madrid playmaker Isco their marquee signing this summer, reports AS.

The Serie A giants’ new Chinese owners are expected to spend big in order to bring back the glory days at the San Siro, and they want Isco to spearhead their new project.

According to AS, Milan are looking to speed up the sale of Carlos Bacca for around €30m before tabling a bid for Isco.

Real Madrid are open to selling the Spain international, but only if they receive a good offer for his services.

HERNANDEZ FUTURE UNCLEAR
Former Manchester United hitman Javier Hernandez has refused to confirm whether he will stay at Bayer Leverkusen.

The Mexico forward, 28, had a superb first season at Leverkusen, scoring 26 times in 40 appearances.

His good performances in Germany have reportedly attracted interest in his services from elsewhere.

Even though he is under contract until 2018, he is unsure if he will remain at the Bundesliga club, pointing to his experiences in the summer transfer windows of 2014 and 2015.

“You never know in football. In the last two years I have changed [teams] on the last day of the transfer window. I thought that I was going to stay in Madrid. I also thought that I was going to stay in Manchester. I then I ended up at Leverkusen,” he is quoted as saying in Marca
POGBA FLIES IN
Paul Pogba has flown into Manchester for a secret medical as his £100m world-record move to United nears completion.
The Juventus midfielder, who has been on his summer holiday in America, is set to have his medical tomorrow and the transfer will be announced on Monday, according to reports in Italy.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that the transfer saga of the summer is nearly over, with Pogba arriving in Manchester on Saturday evening.
The 23-year-old left United back in 2012 in search of first-team football, and has since become one of the best players in world, winning four Serie A titles with the Italian side. During his four years at Old Trafford he made only seven appearances in total.
QPR SIGN FRENCH STRIKER
French forward Yeni Ngbakoto has become QPR's fifth signing of the summer after signing on a three-year deal.
The 24-year-old moves to Loftus Road from Metz but the transfer fee was not disclosed.
Rangers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink told the club's website: "I'm delighted we've got the deal over the line because there was great interest in him.
"Yeni is a player we've scouted for a long while and identified as being a player that suits what we are trying to do here at QPR.

PHELAN GIVEN HULL CHANCE?
Mike Phelan could be given the chance to start his managerial career at Hull City. Sir Alex Ferguson's former assistant at Manchester United has been in charge at the KC Stadium since Steve Bruce's departure.
His stay could be extended after the newly promoted side missed out on Roberto Martinez after the Spaniard was appointed Belgium manager. Chris Coleman had also been on a managerial shortlist but wants to stay Wales boss.
HAMSIK EXTENDS NAPOLI STAY
Napoli have announced Slovakia midfielder Marek Hamsik has signed a contract extension at the Serie A club until 2020.
Reports in Italy said Hamsik was close to putting pen to paper on a new deal and Napoli has now made the news official with a post on its Twitter feed. The new deal will take Hamsik's time in Naples to 13 years after he signed from Brescia in 2007.
ANYTHING CELTIC CAN DO...
Rangers can do better?
As Celtic target new players, so to do arch city rivals Rangers, who kicked their return to the SPL off with a disappointing 1-1 draw against Hamilton Academical at Ibrox.
Speaking after the game, Light Blues chairman Dave King told the Scottish Sun: "I would be surprised if we didn’t have someone coming in. There’s a couple that we’re working on and I think we should have someone come in before the end of the transfer window.
“We’re also keeping our options open for the January transfer window so we can reassess the position in December and see where we are and if necessary we might also do some business in January as well."
RODGERS NOT STOPPING AT SINCLAIR
With former Swansea and Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair in Glasgow to put the finishing touches to his move to CelticBhoys manager Brendan Rodgers has said his arrival won't be the final one at Park Head.
"There are a number of players we are looking at which we hope can improve the squad," Rodgers said. "We will see. As a club we would hope to close something out at the weekend. If the other one wasn’t by Monday then hopefully not long after that.”
MOURINHO: I'D HAVE FOUGHT FOR SANCHEZ
If only Manchester United had been a little faster appointing Jose Mourinho as manager they might have poached Renato Sanchez from the clutches of Bayern Munich.
Sanchez was reportedly a United target before former manager Louis Van Gaal cooled his interest in the 18-year-old, who ended up signing for the Bundesliga champions.
But Mourinho has said he would have fought to convince his compatriot to join him in Manchester. Speaking to SportTV, the manager said: "I arrived [at Manchester United] late. I signed in May, we started talking a week before, but completely out of the process. If I had arrived earlier, I'd fight for him.
"Manchester United watched Renato many times and maybe I did it even more. In so much time at home, I watched many Benfica and Portuguese league games, I got to know the boy better with time. He's in a big club, in a league where he'll certainly be the champion. The club have players of very high level which belong to the structure, a little like Benfica."
CHARLTON MAGENNIS BID REJECTED
Sky Sports reporter Charles Paterson can reveal Kilmarnock have rejected an £100,000 offer from Charlton for striker Josh Magennis.
Killie manager Lee Clark said in his post match interview this afternoon that the SPL club turned down the offer and might need to offer him a new deal to warn off suitors.
Magennis, who was left out of the team for today's loss at home to Motherwell, joined the club from Aberdeen in 2014 since when he has scored 18 goals.
VILLA TO SPLASH CASH
Aston Villa chairman Dr Tony Xia has whetted fans' appetites with a promise of up to EIGHT further signings at the Sky Bet Championship club.
Xia used Twitter to say the Villains were in the process of adding three news players but that his cheque book would be coming out again to strengthen Roberto Di Matteo's squad.
"I'd stop saying much about transfers," he tweeted. "I can say we have worked as hard as we can! SO, Villa fans! Just enjoy the game & give ur most support!"
SCHMEICHEL: 'FOXES HUNGRY'
Kasper Schmeichel has been speaking after signing a new five-year contract at Leicester. Speaking to LCFC TV, the 'keeper said he committed to the club after seeing the hunger in the squad.
"I'm just buzzing and I can't wait for the season to get started. It was a very easy decision. It was a case of coming back after winning the Premier League and making sure that the hunger was the same within myself and the squad.
"I've come back absolutely convinced that this is the place for me to be. We've taken some massive steps and ever since I arrived it's been fantastic. I've loved being here from minute one."

BREAKING NEWS
Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has signed a new five-year deal with the Premier League champions. The 29-year-old Dane was instrumental in the Foxes title tilt last season and is staying put after putting pen to paper on an improved contract.
NO BENTEKE AT WEMBLEY
Liverpool striker Christian Benteke, whose future at the club has been in doubt all summer, is not even included in the Reds' matchday squad for their International Champions Cup clash with Barcelona this afternoon, a game you can follow either live on Sky Sports or via our blog...
OSCAR INTO INTER?
Chelsea's Brazilian midfielder Oscar has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge after his chances of nudging Eden Hazard and Willian looked slim.
ESPN Brazil is linking the 24-year-old with a move to Serie A with Inter Milan with Chelsea reportedly holding out for £30m for a player they signed for £10 less in 2012.
WHY I CHOSE VILLA
Ross McCormack has shone some light on why he left Fulham for Aston Villa. The striker swapped west London for the West Midlands in a £12m deal and said he was motivated to prove doubters wrong.
"There’s a lot of people in the press writing Aston Villa off and not really expecting us to do anything,” he told the Birmingham Mail. "So we have to use that as our motivation to go and ram it down people’s throats.”
POGBA IN FOR TRAINING?
Paul Pogba is reported to be on the verge of a £100m+ move from Juventus to Manchester United but speaking at a news conference ahead of his side's friendly at West Ham United on Sunday, Massimiliano Allegri says he expects the much-wanted midfielder at training on Monday.
"Mourinho rightly says he's not talking about Pogba because he's a Juventus player. I've summoned Pogba together with [Patrice] Evra [to report for preseason duty] tomorrow night, so that means he has training here in Vinovo on Monday.
"It makes no sense at the moment talking about potential replacements for Pogba because, right now, Pogba is a Juventus player."
WENGER HAPPY TO SPEND ON STRIKER
Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal are happy to pay big money for a striker if they can find the right player.
After his side thrashed Viking FK 8-0 in Norway on Friday, the Frenchman said: "It's not the prices, it's the players. The money is never a problem if you have to pay what is requested.
"The price of a player is down to four ingredients; one is the talent, two is his age, three is how much you expect him to improve your team, and four is his resale value.
"If he ticks all four boxes then the price is not that important. You have to find the player.”
FIORENTINA LINKED WITH SANCHEZ
Fiorentina are still being linked with a move for Aston Villa midfielder Carlos Sanchez, reports Tuttomercatoweb.com.
And Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed the Italian club’s interest.
He said: “Sanchez? Fiorentina are interested, we are aware of this but at this moment there is no agreement between the parties.
“He is an Aston Villa player and that will be the case until there is an agreement between the two clubs."
COSTA OFFERED TO SERIE A PAIR
Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been offered to Serie A sides Napoli and Inter Milan, reports Corriere dello Sport.
Costa, who is reportedly unsettled at Stamford Bridge, had been keen to return to his former club Atletico Madrid, but that possibility now appears remote after the Vicente Calderon side snapped up French forward Kevin Gameiro.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Spain hitman has been offered to Inter Milan and Napoli amid the prospect of Chelsea re-signing Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
Costa would prefer to head to Napoli, but their primary attacking target is Inter’s Mauro Icardi. If Icardi ends up leaving Inter for Napoli, Costa could head to the San Siro as the Argentinian’s replacement.
COKE SUFFERS INJURY
New Schalke signing Coke should miss the first half of the Bundesliga season after tearing knee ligaments on his first appearance for the club.
The 29-year-old has joined the Royal Blues from Europa League holders Sevilla, with the transfer only going through officially on Wednesday.
And in a 2-1 friendly win over Bologna just 24 hours later, he suffered a posterior knee ligament tear which means he will miss several months of action.
"We're all shocked," Schalke director of sport Christian Heidel told the official website. "We're incredibly sorry about Coke's misfortune because he had really settled into the squad so well since arriving. Coke will now get all the support he needs from us to recover from this injury."
PSG TO PRESENT JESE ON MONDAY

REAL MADRID EYE FAVILLI
Real Madrid have joined a number of clubs in the chase to sign Italian starlet Andrea Favilli, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 19-year-old striker, who is contracted to Livorno, spent last season on loan at Juventus, where he impressed in the youth team.
His performances while in Turin, coupled with his displays at last month’s European Under-19 Championship, have prompted interest in his services from AC Milan and Inter, while Juventus have contemplated signing him on a permanent basis.
And now, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Real Madrid are also keen on the teenager. Should Real Madrid sign Favilli, they would look to place him in their reserve side Castilla.
MOORE OFFERED NEW DEAL
Liam Moore has been offered a three-year contract by Leicester – that’s despite the same length of offer being on the table from Championship side Reading.

Sky Sports News HQ also understands Swansea will only finalise the deal if they sign another striker following the arrival Fernando Llorente.
REAL MADRID WILLING TO SELL ISCO
Real Madrid are willing to part ways with Isco this summer, reports AS.
The European champions have decided that they must make room for new arrivals by cashing in on players who are already at the club, and Isco could leave the Spanish capital.
However, Madrid are only willing to sell the Spain playmaker if they receive a lucrative offer for his services.
Meanwhile, they want to keep hold of James Rodriguez as they believe he will be able to reach the heights of his first season at the club again, despite a difficult second campaign at the Bernabeu.
VERMAELEN SET FOR ROMA
Thomas Vermaelen is on the verge of joining Roma, according to sources in Italy and Spain.
Corriere dello Sport reports that the former Arsenal centre-back has already agreed terms with Roma, having reached an agreement with Barcelona over his departure.
