A new crime wave has struck Kaduna State where grave robbers now invade cemeteries to steal corpses.

The residents of Sabon Gari Nasarawa community in Kaduna State, have been thrown into a state of shock after some grave robbers invaded a cemetery in the town and stole freshly buried corpses that had been interred days earlier.

According to Hausa News portal, Rariya, the robbers also dug up some graves and made away with some human parts and other items buried in them.
A resident who narrated the ugly incident to the portal, such an incident has never been witnessed in the community and is quite unheard of that the dead would not be allowed to rest in peace.

Another resident of the community said there is the suspicion of ritualists at work and the quest for wealth could have led to the grave invasion.
