Premier League Transfer Rumours: Mandzukic, Rodriguez, Hernandez and More

g

12. Middlesbrough Defensive Swoop Delayed By Hull Manager Turmoil

Hull City v Brighton & Hove Albion - The Emirates FA Cup Third Round

Middlesbrough continue to be frustrated in their chase for defensive reinforcements, with their move for Hull City's Harry Maguire delayed by the managerial mess at the KC Stadium.

The club's move for Neven Subotic failed after the Dortmund defender failed a medical, and the Northern Echo report that they now look set to be delayed - at best - as Hull's owners refuse to allow any transfers in or out until they appoint a new manager.

11. West Brom Handed Boost in Defender Chase After Contract Rejection

Middlesbrough v Leeds United - Sky Bet Championship

West Brom look set to snap up left-back Charlie Taylor from Leeds United, with the Birmingham Mail reporting that the 22-year-old has rejected a new contract at Elland Road with just a year left on his current deal.

Leeds CEO Ben Mansford said recently: "I think it's fair to say at this moment in time that Charlie doesn't want to extend his current deal with us," although it's thought that the club would still want at least £5m for Taylor's signature.

10. Swansea Look to Snatch Veteran Stoke Striker as Gomis Heads for Exit

Crystal Palace v Stoke City - Premier League

Swansea City are said to be ready to move for Stoke City veteran and former England striker Peter Crouch as they deepen their forward line for the coming season.

With Bafetimbi Gomis on the brink of moving to Marseille and Alberto Paloschi and Eder already out the door, Francesco Guidolin is in dire need of backup up front - and the Mail report that 35-year-old Crouch could provide an experienced backup option.

9. Leicester Midfielder Set for New Contract as Foxes Try to Nail Down Title Winners

Leicester City v Everton - Premier League

The vast majority of the transfer stories around the King Power Stadium this summer have involved rumours (and confirmations) of title-winning stars leaving the club, but Leicester look set to be boosted with the news that Andy King is ready to put pen to paper on a new four-year deal.

The Wales midfielder is the club's longest-serving current player, and the Mail report that he's poised to tie his future into the club under 2020.

8. Southampton Step Up Chase for Sporting CP Defender

Sporting CP v Lyon - Friendly Match

Reports from A Bola in Portugal claim that Southampton have sent scouts out to keep an eye on Sporting defender Ruben Semedo, with the Saints looking to beef up their side with the 22-year-old centre-back.

Saints scouts are said to have caught the 45 minutes which the £12.5m-rated defender played against Villarreal on Tuesday night.

7. David Moyes Eyeing £13m Move for Manchester United Midfielder

New Sunderland manager David Moyes is said to be eyeing up a £13m move for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini - who he signed when he was in charge at Old Trafford, having also brought the Belgian to Goodison Park in 2008.

The 28-year-old has failed to nail down a consistent role in his three years in Manchester, and the Sun claim that new manager Jose Mourinho could be willing to let him leave for less than half of the £27.5m the club paid for him back in 2013.

6. Tottenham Target Admits £8.4m Move a Possibility as Release Clause Ticks Down

1. FSV Mainz 05 v 1. FC Koeln - Bundesliga

Mainz midfielder Yunus Malli has admitted that he could yet leave the Bundesliga side this summer, with Tottenham said to be lurking. Bild report that the attacking midfielder's £8.4m release clause expires at the end of the month, but the 24-year-old told the German media "I can't and won't rule anything out."

He continued: "What's the point of saying 'I play for Mainz this season' and things look different in two weeks? Right now, my focus is to get fit. If nothing changes, that's fine. I'm comfortable here and Mainz are in the Europa League this season."

5. Atletico Madrid Hand Lucas Hernandez New Deal to Ward Off Manchester City Interest

FBL-EUR-C1-REALMADRID-ATLETICO

Reports from AS in Spain claim that Atletico Madrid have offered youngster Lucas Hernandez a new deal in an attempt to ward off interest from Manchester City, with a €25m release clause inserted into the deal.

The 20-year-old's younger brother - left-back Theo - has also been offered a new deal as last season's beaten Champions League finalists look to chase off interest from Barcelona.

4. Chelsea Driving Hard Bargain for Clubs Interested in Wantaway Striker

SK Rapid v Chelsea F.C. - Friendly Match

Chelsea are said to be insisting that Besiktas make their move for Loic Remy a permanent one rather than a loan one, with the Frenchman surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge after the signing of Michy Batshuayi and emergence of Bertrand Traore as a viable backup.

The Sabah newspaper in Turkey claim that Antonio Conte has no hopes for Remy breaking into the club's first-team squad at any point in his tenure, and wants to offload the 29-year-old for good.

3. Zinedine Zidane Hints That Liverpool-Linked Winger Could Leave

Real Madrid v Manchester City FC - UEFA Champions League Semi Final: Second Leg

Zinedine Zidane has hinted that Liverpool-linked winger Jese Rodriguez could yet leave Real Madrid this summer, with Arsenal also said to be interested in a move for the 23-year-old.

Speaking after the Champions League holders' defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday, he said: "If he wants to leave to play more, I don’t know. It’s our first game. He’s here, he played. Everyone’s here, that’s all I can say now."

2. Arsenal Consider £16.8m Bid for Juventus Striker After Missing Out on Higuain

Juventus FC v UC Sampdoria - Serie A

Arsenal have emerged as challengers to West Ham in the race for Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, with the Serie A champions' capture of Gonzalo Higuain leaking the Croatian close to surplus to requirements.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Juve would be more willing to let Simone Zaza go than Mandzukic, but the 30-year-old could still be pried away with a bid of around €20m.

1. Jose Mourinho Set to Decide Future of 9 Manchester United Players

Manchester United Pre-game Training & Press Conference

Jose Mourinho is thought to be set to tell nine Manchester United players whether or not he believes they have a future at the club under his management, with the likes of Andreas Pereira and Adnan Januzaj awaiting their manager's judgement.

The Mail report that Pereira will be farmed out on loan, with Will Keane and James Wilson preparing to pack their bags after what the newspaper imaginatively named 'clear-out Thursday'.
